Default core speed

Hi, I have intel wx58bp mb with core i7 930 processor, 4 gb ram. the pc wizard shows the core speed as 1600mz while the processor speed is 2.8 ghz. is it ok or is there something wrong with my pc.

Nothing wrong with your machine. You have the Speedstep and C1E enabled in the BIOS. These features will downclock the CPU when idle to save energy.
