yes it close in some bench marks but the core 2 duo still comes out on top

Yes, but I don't see the low-end beating, or even comming close to the high-end AMD like you claimed.

My laptop is running a Core 2 Duo T7200 @ 2Ghz. How much better will that E6300 run? What are the differences?

I havn't really seen any comparisons between the deskop and laptop versions of the processors, but generally, the desktop version is stronger and faster.

My best guess would be the desktop (E6300) would perform better.

see thats the thing
i see the low end intel and the high end amd very close
intel also has less power consumption
price idk
but u also got to admit when intel switches down to 45nm
amds screwed becouse there not going to be able to have as high clock speed

Point one out to me where the E6300 is next to the 6000+. I never see the E6300 get above third-to-last. (or 2 infront of last place)
