Need a better heatsink/fan combo for my rig. Unlocked a core on my cpu and its getting close to 70C (HOT)...thinking about the Cooler Master V8 or the Ultra Chilltec Silver. Thermo electric cooling sounds good for me, don't want the hassle of waterblocking just yet. Let me know if those are good or any better/economical replacements. Thanks

Skip the TEC's. Once you push them too far, they get hot real quick. For it to be worth it you have to have a higher-wattage TEC and really good cooling on top of it for it to be worth it. Sometimes it can dictate the need for a dedicated PSU for the TEC depending on how powerful it is.

Long story short, stick to high-end air. Supposedly the Noctua NH-D14 is the best on the market right now. There's also the new Thermalright Venemous-X, I don't know how it performs.

If you're on a budget, go with the Xigmatek S1283
