Default Cookies + Active Desktop

I have a page i made (to act kind of like a sidebar clone thing) in html and added it to my active desktop. I have two iframes in it. Gmail and Yahoo weather. Yahoo weather works fine, but if i try to sign into gmail it tells me to enable cookies. BUT this is not in a browser so i can't. Cookies are enabled on IE and firefox (but i doubt firefox will have anything to do with it) and it still doesn't work.

All help will be appreciated,
thanks
