try downloading hijackthis and copying & pasting the logfile at hijackthis.de and delete anything that comes up as bad.

Go in to the services and stop then disable windows messenger. Then go to tools in IE and turn on the popup blocker.

yeah can be a pain in the ass instead of trying loads of diff scans to get rid of it i just installed Maxthon its a new web browser which has a brilliant built in pop up blocker

i know this is not a fix but its an alternative ?
