Default Considering buying a Monitor

I recently purchased a desktop which has an i3.

The monitor that I currently have hooked up is about 5 or 6 years old.

I would like to look into something a little more larger. I believe a 22 would fit my needs. I do not game , but I do open photoshop, lightroom every once in awhile.

What are some things to look at when getting a new monitor? (if I could get some replies I would appeciate it)

My current PC is this below.

Dell Inspiron Desktop 8GB Memory 1TB Hard Drive I660-3042BK - Best Buy

also I will be shopping at best-buy.

Thanks!

Wait until 12:01am Friday after Thanksgiving to buy one. Black Friday will be the best time to get anything.

I bought an Asus IPS 23" monitor at Newegg for $180 and it's a great monitor. I did some Google research and asked around on the forums and most told me to get an IPS monitor.

An IPS monitor has a fantastic picture and clarity that it was really worth it.

I was doing research earlier. An IPS will most def be one to lookout for + connection with HDMI.

Thank you for your reply.
