I just replaced my cable modem with a Motorola SB5101. The old one seemed to have issues staying connected and speed was slow, so replacement I believe was due after 7 years.....lol
Anyway, even with the new modem, I keep getting the popup in my startup menu that occasionally says I have limited or no connectivity. I then have to unplug the power from the modem and let it rest for a bit, then power it back up. This works fine for a while, but keeps recurring.
Is there anything to look for regarding this issue? Can this only be a modem issue or is there somehting internal with my system that may cause this?
I just have a cheap DELL Dimension 2400 2.4ghz Intel Celeron with 640Mb RAM
Thanks for any help in advance!
