Connecting Neons

Hi, I've got a small neon stick and i just can't figure out how to connect it. My neon stick is made to plug into the cigarette lighter in the car, but it says i can snip off the cigarette lighter adapter and can be connected to any 12V system. So is it possible to connect the neon stick to my computer? If possible, would you be able to help me out.

You could try some rewiring

how would I rewire the neons? Which power lead can i use(HD, CD-ROM, etc)?
