connecting laptop to tv

hello, this is my first post.

ok i have a dell inspiron 2200 laptop with a 15 pin VGA output, and i want to connect it to my LCD HD ready TV, with a HDMI input.

my TV manual tells me that to connect a pc/laptop to it, i need a DVI output on my laptop (which i havnt got), so can i just use a VGA-DVI adapter plug
as seen Here then use a DVI-HDMI cable to connect to the TV

PS the manual also says that it doesnt support a VGA connection.

im lost.

does your tv have a dvi connection? if not, then get a vga-to-super video adapter or watever.

yes it does. the manual says, DVI audio input (guessing thats it)
