connecting computer to tv
I was wondering if someone can help me.I have a HP media center with a AMD processor.I would like to connect this to my tv,so I can transfer movies from my computer to my tv.Could someone explain how to do this?

they sell special cables that can link your pc into the tv. You could try looking online or maybe go to best buy.

I have component connections on my computer and tv.Is that all I have to do is connect the computer to the tv with the component cable or do I have to tell the computer somehow to reconize my tv?

well just connect hdmi connector to your pc and your tv. but obviously you need them both to have the connector and also you can do same with VGA cable but hdmi is way better quality
