Default Congradulatuions you been selected.......

I keep hearing these advertisements coming from my speaker when no web pages are up. The consist of winning a free nintendo wii, and a gift card to walmart, and causing the current page to lose priority. You know when you are in the middle of typing something and the top bar goes gray and you have to click the page again to get it going. Is it a virus/spyware/ghosts?! Seriously, I'm so pissed with this that I came back here to get some advise.
