Default Confusing Upgrades.

right, as some of you may know i recently upgraded a friends computer.

now he had a

Celeron 1.7 with 256 Mb Pc3200 RAM

and i gave him a Pentium D 820 2.8Ghz with 2Gb 533Mhz RAM

and he claims he doesnt notice it being any faster ???

i dont understand it i know the P D isnt the greatist CPU around but he should still notice a huge jump from a Celeron 1.7 ???

whats going on here or do u think he is just being awkrard.

i know the parts are fast because they were mine.

Sorry, I didn't know he wasn't a gamer. Maybe if he doesn't run demanding applications at all, he probably won't notice a difference. I remember a few years ago when I was runnings XP with a Celeron 1.5GHz and 128MB RAM fine.
