Hey guys, been lurking for awhile, but finally had an actual problem to ask so I registered and here I am. I've just decided to buy a new rig as my laptop's dying, and I'm looking to get a desktop at $2000. I've basically got it worked out to two rigs. The first is:
[ Processor ] AMD® PHENOM™ II X6 Six-Core 1090T (3.20 GHz 9MB cache)
[ Memory ] 8GB DDR3 Ram (64-bit OS only)
[ Hard Disk ] 500GB SATA III Hard Disk, 32MB cache
[ 2nd Hard Disk ] 1TB SATA Hard Disk; 32MB cache
[ Video Card ] 1280MB nVidia® GeForce GTX 570 with DVI/HDMI
[ Monitor ] 24" wide LCD 1920x1080 high-definition; 2ms response time
[ Network Card ] On-board Gigabit LAN
[ Wireless LAN ] 300 Mbps Wireless-N adaptor
[ DVD Writer/Blu-Ray ] Blu-ray Reader/Writer/DVD Burner
[ Firewire ] Onboard IEEE 1394a Firewire
[ Sound Card ] 8-channel High Definition Audio
[ Keyboard (Mouse) ] Keyboard + optical Mouse (Logitech)
[ Case ] Mid Tower: Antec 'Nine Hundred Two'
That sits pretty at $2025. The second goes thusly:

That one costs $2119, which I'm not really happy with as it's starting to really push my budget (postage for either will be $190, so it's really it's $2215 vs $2309).
My real question is what will be the limiting factor, the CPU or the graphics card. Obviously, with the lesser AMD chip, I can grab the better GTX, so is that worth it in comparison to the better Intel chip with the lesser GTX?
