Default Confused about OEM

I was just wondering if a OEM CPU will work with any motherboard/computer.

in short yes!

OEM = Original Equiptment manufacturer
This means that it is the exact same thing that you can buy stuffed into a retail box with all the little addons, manual, warranty and the lik......Except that the OEM version is the plain jane version..No frills with a fancy box and marketing technique or any manuals to teach you how to use or any warranties either or at a very minumal only.

If you post the cpu and the motherboard specs I am sure someone will help. Karnak has left the building.

Isn't that somewhat spamming? I'm guessing whoever signs up gets one of those PM's. It's irritating.

There are some for sale on the net that are for Dell only. They don't come with a key as they install on a Dell automatically.
