Athlon fx-53 is a very very very very very very very very (you get the idea) nice processor i would buy that if you can change the 5950 for a 6800 .

You should go for a 460 watt power source, go for Thermaltake or Enermax. Spend a little cash on a good amount of power. Dropping $700+ for AMD 64fx cpu is a big investment, spend a little money on a good PSU. 6800 Nvidia based cards will be out around summer. Check out CNET.com for Bench marks and comparisons to ATI's GPU.
