There is a very good deal on this card at many retailers for only $150, and I was really hoping to get it. While I was going down the specs I noticed that it said,"
PCI Express 2.0 Support: Designed to run perfectly with the new PCI Express 2.0 bus architecture, offering a future-proofing bridge to tomorrow's most bandwidth-hungry games and 3D applications by maximizing the 5 GT/s PCI Express 2.0 bandwidth (twice that of first generation PCI Express). PCI Express 2.0 products are fully backwards compatible with existing PCI Express motherboards for the broadest support.

I know that I do not have the PCI Express 2.0 Slot, but i also notice that i said that it is fully backwards compatible with existing PCI Express motherboards.
I just want to make sure that i will be able to use this card from you guys because I'm a bit confused.

You will be fine. On a 9600GT you won't gain anything from PCIE 2.0 anyway.

Thank you very much, now all i have to do is decide what company to go with.... EVGA, PNY, etc...

Yeah, looks like EVGA has a nice limited life time warranty, and their 90 day deal to upgrade to a better card.

nice, when you get it, download 3dmark and post up some scores! i'd like to hear how much it helped your system also.
