Default Computers for Dummies

Ok, so i am new at this whole computer thing. i mean i have some experience and know more than the average person, but i want to know more and know all the components of pcs and how to rebuild/upgrade. if anyone knows of any websites, books, or anything that would explain to me further about computers. thanks

well I'm not too great with computers myself.. but whenever i have a problem i go to the good 'ol www.google.com solves most of my problems

you could also buy a old p.c, then take it to pieces.
rebuild it again, while doing this you will learn a lot about how they work. you will have to investigate things as you go along and be safety concious.ask questions on here, and read threads, you will get a wealth of knowledge from these experienced guys on here. i am doing the same as yourself, and have gained some very usefull knowledge.

definately sounds good with the old computer idea and if you want to know HOW the hardware acutally works not just how to put it togerther www.howstuffworks.com is a great site for that kind of stuff.

I have heard MSI makes the best but i have always used Intels.
