Well... a couple days ago my fan died on me...so I used one of my spares.... that I had.. (note: when I took out fan I made sure it could boot up and made sure it didn't over heat and it booted up fine) ok so I put in my new fan and then pluged the monitor and such back together...booted it up and the only thing that isworking now is the fans in the powersup. and my CPU fan so everything else except my motherboard cd-rom ect. isn't working...could anyone help me out?

Maybe the fan is drawing too much power and the PSU can't handle it?

Beware : PC building is one of my few PC knowladge weaknesses.

what kind of connector was the old fan? did it connect with a 3 pin connector to ur mobo, or a 4 pin connector to ur PSU?

so, did you plug it into the correct rail? Some on MOBO rails are only 6volts (for small 30mm fans and such) you need a 12V rail plug (three pin male) to plug into.

The Old one was a larger size but thesame connectors and such the one I have in right now is a tad smaller

I guess ill try some other stuff.. ill keep posting... if anyone has any answers please post!
