Default computer wont turn off

when i hit power off, it doesnt do anything, i have to hit the power button on the comp case to get it off...

help?!?!?

Take the power cord from the PSU and unplug it. If that doesn't work, then that's really messed up.

couman that's not what he means, well, i mean it's not that big a deal voodoo child, other than it's annoying, hitting the power button on the case makes it go through the shut down process anyway so it's really just a minor inconveniance

Yeah, if you unplug the power cable and it still stays on, it's denying the properties of our world as we know it.
