Hello Everyone,
I got a second hard drive for my Phoenix Hp Computer. It is a WD black sata hard drive. I installed in the computer but when I go to my computer it is not showing up??

When I go to the device manager it is listed and says:
WDC WD 1002FAEX0023A0, Location 1, Device is working properly.

My other Hard drive says:
Hitachi HDS723020BLA642, Location 0, Device is working properly.

Can anyone please tell me what to do so my computer will recognize the drive so may start using it??
Any help is greatly appreciated..

You have to format the drive. There is no file system on it.

If you type disk management into the search box of Windows 7, you will be able to create a volume on the new drive and use it.

Did you Sort it?
Because i was thinking exactly the same as OhSnapWord however:

If you boot into the BIOS and you can't see the hard drive:
1. the hard drive is disconnected (data cable or power cable)
2. the power supply has partially failed and is not powering the hard drive
3. the motherboard hard drive controller has failed
4. the hard drive has failed

If formatting worked then ignore the above.
