i think i am going to try to replace the cmos battery. i checked and this pc uses the CR2032 3V coin cell battery. So i was wondering is that the same battery some of the calculators use? for example... would this one work? ... http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/prodde...27&catid=21961

CR2032 bateries are all alike. You buy a CR2032, it will work. If the PC doesn't still work, do what I told:

Disassemble the PC and set it up as an open case...mobo on a phone list book...or Yellow pages.

By that, troubleshoot by checking all stuff...and swapping. If all didn't do, the motherboard is the problem.

I am thinking its the mobo, and as I say never say never, I doubt it could be the HD.

Take all stuff out and power it up on a table, with the mobo being on a anti-static bag or a sort of big phone book.

Take out, swap and try it out by then.
