computer won turn on

Hello, I was having a problem with the modem in my computer so i took it out and now the computer wont switch back on, the light is on the motherboard but the fans are not on. I have tried disconnecting everything and connecting them back one by one, but this did not work, i have also tried a PSU that i no works but it still wont switch on. Ive checked all the connecors and jumpers on the motherboard with the manual and they are all in the right place.
Can anyone help me please!!?

try puting the modem back in and see if it works then, if not it may well be that when u took it out the m/b snaped but thats very unlikly. someone els here not so loing ago had a question about his pc not starting up proply and reseting ill hunt down that post and you can read that too ok.
