Unhappy Computer will not turn off

Sometimes when I turn off the computer it wont and a small screen comes up to tell me I have a ' stack overflow ' . What is that and how can I fix it ??? Also the hide unused toolbar icons chevron has disappeared ????. When I open tool bar properties it has been checked to hide , but no little chevron in the toolbar itself

i think and im not 100% on this 1 but i think stack overflow happens when programs are still using alot of RAM when you try to shut down,

dont know if thats virtual RAM or physical RAM,

so next time u try shutdown try closing all your programs first
