Default computer virus

hey all you guys out there, i need some serious help

i was on my computer, and norton antivirus just tells me that i have a trojan, and a virus, and doesnt do shit, and then i get the blue screen of death...so i have to turn off my computer, and im thinking of just reinstalling my win xp disk, but if you can help me out, cuz i have nothing to do..its my moms computer((OHHH KRAP!!!))) whovere posts and helps me out, i will give them a cookie...lol hehehehehe

first i hate Norton, i had loads of trouble in past with Norton... second i would try safe mode scan....then if problem is still there, try running different av software live avast..

ya, i tried that but now win xp works, but the only problem when i click on an icon, or on anything, it doesnt do anything, its not frozen, cuz when you click on start, it stilll opens, so i have no clue what to do

i use to have a problem when i right clicked, the mneu wouldn't come up, so i formatted..

try a system restore and see if that does anything, otherwise try using AVG or Avast and see what happens.

boot in safemode and try all virus scans check system processes for any unusual ones.
