AMD 3400+ at least, 1gb of Hyper X ram, AMD motherboard 939 socket with 2 pci-ex slots, and two 6600 gt's. the thing is i cant figure out what motherboard to get just because i really know very little about motherboards...oh yea and im open for changes too so if you guys could tell me if i should change something do it. My budget is $1000.00 american. btw i lvie in canada so if you could figure have the shipping in the price too. I live in east canada if that matters

I'm looking at your specs for PCIe SLi config, Athlon 64 939 pin. I would get this motherboard. I know there are new ones better than this, but not out yet:

ASUS "A8N-SLI Deluxe" nForce4 SLI Chipset Motherboard For AMD Socket 939 CPU
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...131-517&depa=1

GIGABYTE "GA-K8NXP-SLI" NVIDIA nForce4 SLI Chipset Motherboard For AMD Socket 939 CPU
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...128-269&depa=1

I don't think Newegg will ship to Canada, but maybe you can use this as a guide to find similar boards on other sites.

Go to www.zipzoomfly.com because they will deiver to Canada.

Yes both of those are good motherboards. I suggest the ASUS one however. Lots of extras.

However order from http://ncix or http://vibecomputers.com

NOT ZIPZOOMFLY i hear shipping prices are awful.

I don't see it either. I don't think AMD makes one for the 939 socket, just the 754. You can try the 3200+ or the 3500+. It's like a $60 difference depending on where you buy it from.

Yeah. Well, AMD does have a 3400+ for the 939 socket motherboard. This is the OEM version:

AMD Athlon 64 3400+, 512KB L2 Cache 939-Pin 64-bit Processor - OEM

only problem is that one needs to be bought with a bundle and i want a pci-ex motherboard... could anyone price up and maybe find a 3400+ and figure out how much it would be for shipping? or is there a major difference in performance from the 3200+
