intel d845hv mobo (only up to agp 4x pluggin)
768mb pc133 (3x256)
eVGA 5200 128mb 32bit agp4x

k for Christmas i asked for something like this (yes im a kid)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150190

then later should i get maybe a 2.8ghz p4 800mhz fsb?..that would be around $80
and the whole time i would be keeping on the socket 478 (idk just easeir to upgrade slow)

then a new mobo with agp 8x...and ddr 400 (prolly 512x2)....sound good?

Better Video will never fail. But mate you need to jack that RAM up, who cares what brand you get just get some now..lol. You able to use DDR2 or just DDR1? I got 2GB of RAM and a new Video card in mine, How old is your machine?

hey dude ya said sound card but then put link to graphics , anyways i agree with above
graphocs card and ram are ya most important things ,good mobo tho for the price

lol k i changed it to the right link..and thanks for the input guys at least you dont just say...noob go figure it out for yourself

ne ways so how much in need am i of upgrading my Processor right now? (p4 1.8ghz 400mhz fsb) ?

tis ok some people just go noob cos they think they know it all yet we realise we dont know everything and where noobs once and i still am when it comes to some things , plus i understand it is best to have a second opinion before you go and spend $$$. , i hope you do well upgrading your pc ,and have a nice Christmas

Most all machine these days dont have less then 2Ghz CPU, but this doesnt mean that i would go buying a CPU first (cost alot sometimes). Start with the smaller things first that are cheaper and test. If you where to get your RAM up to about 1.5 - 2 GBs then test, i do think you will 100% need new video card (buy other ram and video card at same time). Installing a CPU is alittle more work then just ram and video card so save yourself time and $$ buy trying the easy ones first. Oh yea, you running DDR1 or DDR2?

pc133 man this is sloowww ram..thats why i was showwing the new mobo becasue it woudl let me do ddr 400 which is much faster and more solid then pc133

or are you talking about the vidoe card?..if so the video card is just ddr

and i understand completely about upgrading the little things first...processors can be a big hassle

anyone else have any input?
