Hi Everyone...I consider myself a computer geek (build my own PCs) but I will admit I know very little about tablets and "netbooks." Nonetheless, my dad who is about to go on a 4 month trip around Russia just asked me recommend one because he doesn't want to carry his laptop.
My initial thought was to tell him to get an iPad. I have used my moms and am intending to get one for myself but then he said he wanted it to have a USB port which defenestrates the iPad. While I realize that a USB port isn't essential any more with the advent of modern networking...my dad will be without internet or any kind of network connection for those 4 months in Russia and would like to access the terabytes of data that he has stored on external hard drives.
Anyone have any recommendations?
