computer shuts off when bumped!?

For some odd reason when i bump the tower... the computer restarts!
It drives me crazy!
I checked for loose connections, but can't find any!
PLEASE HELP!

hmm...is the Chassis Intrusion enabled on the motherboard? If it is, then that might explain why it would restart since the motherboard would think that the case has been opened or something.

are you sure you have checked everythign isnt loose ? if you have then i would put it down to a faulty components and since the only things with moving components are the PSU and hardrive id say 1 of them

Must be something loose for it to do that.
Check power connections, by un-plugging and then plugging them back.
Also try taking out hard drive leads, and putting them back.

Could also be a faulty power supply, but we'll leave that idea until last.

Well, I would say something is loose. Because I cant think of any other way to see how your computer would just restart.

Is your motherboard also screwed in correctly? Theres a chance it could be hitting the metal chasis, causing it to surge.

Sounds like a grounding problem to me. Are you using the risers for your motherboard? Make sure the board isnt touching the metal on your case.

is the connections on the motherboard all finely connected?
And is the hardrive secure.
