computer running games too fast?

On games like NFSU1/2 my computer runs them too fast. Instead of slowing down like lag it goes faster ( FLAG ) Its really hard to control the cars...This isn't the only game that does it but its the only one that comes to mind. I am on a 4200+ X2 , 3Gb ram, 7600Gt, 80gb HDD. Can someone help me

Hmm, I always thought faster was better. I never had that problem and I also have both NFSU 1 and 2. I don't think it's a hardware issue though. Try downloading a patch for the game or adjust the sensitivity for the controller. I'm using the Logitech Rumblepad for the game and not the keyboard. That might make a difference. But get the patch for it though.

This might be a problem with the dual-cores. Have you applied the patch from AMD off thier website before?

put vsync on. Should be somewhere in the game settings.

Try turning some settings down. I don't know if this applies to the older NFS games, but Most Wanted has FPS caps ad 30, 45, and 60 FPS, and sometimes it will jump up and down depending on your system.

It started going faster after i got my RAM, yeah i have the AMD patch thing

What about the actual game patch from EA Games? There are some available.
