Computer newb. Need help... Ram INstall

i tried putting in just the 256 and all the words on the screen look blurry and i get wierd looking symbols

wow thats really odd....i would try the anti-static to see if maybe something magnetic has caused it 2 screw up and if that doesn't work conciter returning it, just about all ram has lifetime warranty's now-a-days lol

i'm goin with u guys, trade it in for a new stick and everything should work just fine if not than something probably happened 2 ur mobo...but i seriously doubt that...
