Hey Guyz,
Was hoping that you could help me out.

For the last week when I play the game Call of Duty it sometimes freezes randomly and never comes back so I have to restart the computer from the power switch. This has happens every time I play now after a bout 20 mins or so. I've been playing for over a year and it has only happened the last week but happens every time I play.

My computer is a Compaq Presario running Windows XP.

Any ideas as to why this could be happening?

Thank, DH2.

Oh and my anti virus and anti spy ware is the free addition of AVG

That used to happen when I played COD2 with my wireless adapter enabled. Are you using wireless?

No im not on wireless, tho my sister has wireless off the same rooter.

I've reinstalled and it didn't change anything.

Is malware a virus or spyware? Because i've done a spyware check and there was nothing.

Malware is either. Also, what DirectX version do you have? This software requires DirectX 9.0b, but I seriously doubt that is the issue, as it was working before and just stopped working.

Yeah i think i've got it because when i reinstalled it asked me whether i wanted to install that and i clicked yes... how do you check for it?

I'm gonna do a virus scan now.
