Default Computer freezes at seemingly random times

Occasionally while playing World of Warcraft, Crysis 2, or just using google chrome my computer will freeze and start making a repetitive sound through the speakers, or headphones, whatever im using at the time. When my computer does freeze the LED lights on the front of my computer case turn off, however no fans or anything on the inside turn off as far as i can tell. Also, sometimes when i turn on the computer right after the computer freezes, it will freeze again while windows is loading.

I have switched out the power supply with a different one, and the problem continues, so clearly has nothing to do with that.

Here are my specs:
Windows Vista 64 bit
AMD Athlon II x2 245 processor 2.9 GHz
4 gigs of ram
ATI Radeon HD 5770
ASUS M4A79XTD EVO AM3 AMD 790X ATX AMD Motherboard
Diablotek PHD Series PHD750 750W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply
