computer building help

I need help with picking out parts to build a good gaming computer under $2000. I just want the computer alone without monitor and speakers.

- What is your monitor's native resolution?
- Where are you in the world?
- Do you overclock?

again, $2000 worth of parts may be way overkill for your system depending on your monitor's native resolution, worshipme asked for a reason, a 4870x2 or GTX295 could be a waste of $$ depending on your monitor's native resolution...

my guess is that you could probably build a kick ass i7 system for close to $1000 and just save the rest...
