Looks good... BUT. The ram... no way. That mobo is dual channel. You'll need something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820144166
That's dual channel. The ram that you put down is not supported... The vid card is good. The crt.... well, unless you really like big and bulky screens... I'd opt for a lcd. I know it's a little more... but I have both crt's and lcd's and the lcd's are just more to my liking... thinner, and better on the eyes. The hd is good... but where's the dvd drive? Not cd drive? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827152052
There ya go... hope this helps... I don't really know your budget so yeah...

What about 2 1gb ram sticks? Or would I have to get 4x512mb ram sticks?

if u want 1gb of ram it needs to be dual channel DDR400 pc3200 (512*2) or two sets of (256*2) and if u want 2gbs of ram there are two options dual channel (1gb *2) or two sets of (512 *2). and look at the cas latency, because the one u picked is 3 which is too high, go for a 2.5 or 2 if u can find some.

It helps to alleviate the heat from the memory's IC so yes, good to have.

How about the stock cooling on the CPU? Should that be upgraded?
