Default Computer boot problems

Sometimes my computer takes a unusually long time (2 minutes - 5 minutes) to boot (as in to pass the Windows XP loading screen). I can fix this problem by (when the computer finally boots) running Microsoft BootVis. Then the XP loading screen takes about 10 seconds to disappear. I have the following computer:

AMD X2 4400+
2GB DDR400 Samsung RAM
Maxtor DiamondMax10 300GB SATA HDD w/ 16MB cache
ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe
ASUS EN6800GT GFX card

Maybe you have some driver conflicts or something like that.
