Default Computer/Accessories protection

No too sure if this is in the right place.

I need an eight-way Surge Protector for my pc and accessories, printer, speakers etc. etc.

Can anyone recommend a good one please.

Many thanks.

I would recommend a UPS with surge built in. I use APC for both my personal computers and goodies as well as at the office. How much surge and backup can be determined with this calculator.
UPS Selector - Select your protection needs

Places like office supply stores usually have the best prices on them.

Thank you for your input setishock, much appreciated.

I think that your recommendation, whilst being a very desirable setup, is rather more than I am looking for. A product name that came to mind since starting this thread, is Belkin. I have a feeling that I may have had one of their products many many years ago. I have gone onto the internet and I see that they are still in business.
Do you (or anyone) know if their protectors are reliable and come recommended?
I went into PC World/Curry's yesterday and all they seemed to have was what looked like a fused extension lead. This didn't seem sufficient to me.
