I'm looking to build my own computer. I'm 16, and clueless on most subject areas. Having said that, with the help of a friend, we found these parts from Newegg :

It would be helpful if any of you guys could tell me if they're compatible parts, and if they aren't what parts are.

Its a very nice build, all of the parts are compatible, though i do recomend the Antec 300 which in my opinion is a much better case for its price.
Im not sure about what you use your computer for, but if its just for gaming i suggest the Intel i5 2500k

Fireonfergal, your build looks fine. Have fun with that monster. Don't know why (no pun intended) iDontknow suggested a lower end processor than the i7 you were looking at getting. Stick with the i7 if you can afford it. It won't let you down.

What's your max budget and what use will it serve? Unless you want to you might not always need to spend that much money. Sometimes we can help save you money and still get a long lasting computer. I'm still on am2+ stuff and it runs just fine.
