Before I bought the parts for my computer, and my relatives computer that I both builit, I posted the parts I was buying, and asked if their would be compatibility issues, or any other problems of that sort to double check, neither time has failed. Seeing my recent sucess in building computers, a friend has asked me to upgrade his. Parts I picked out for his budget on his upgrade:

Processor:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103514

Motherboard:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813127186#DetailSpecs

RAM:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145440

Those parts seem compatible to me. Also in the build is a western digital ide hd. Along with a radeon 9600 (thats his next thing to upgrade when he gets more money).

well if i were you i'd tell him to wait and get more money, none of the cards about to come out will be AGP (or at least i've heard on different forums and such) so he's kinda limiting himself in getting a AGP mobo. get a 6600gt or something. BTW they are all compatible

Thanks, I reccomended him that same card, he's convinced that AGP cards still have a few years (1-3 left), and I kind of agree

lol im pretty sure both nVidia and and ATI arent making any more cards that are going to be AGP also. but meh..best card he can get that isnt bandwidth limited is the 6800ultra.

well were not talking about production wise, but capabilioty wise, he and i think that agp cards will still be capable for a good amount of time to run the top demanding games at good settigns.
