Default is this compatable

so i have a regular gateway computer right and i've decided to turn it into a media center sort of. im going to buying vista soon and was wondering if this is good ive read up on it and sounds awesome but wanted to make sure
http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/produ...500mcekit.html
and my specs are 2.8 pentium d core duo...geforce 7600gt pci-e video card...2gb memory...
im pretty sure its going to work but i want to know if anyone else has it on here or has anything to warn me about it.

and i also have another question i have a readyboost thumbdrive from sandisk and was wonder does this really boost up the memory, i really dont use it alot now and was wondering if i put all 4gigs for readyboost will it be like i just added 4gigs of memory or no?(when i get vista of course)

and another sorry about the questions lol...where can i find the speed of my dvdrw drive it came with the computer and does not say anywhere i was wondering if theres a program that can do that.

and if i was to upgrade that 2.8 pentium d duo core to this http://www.clubit.com/product_detail...mno=CA1938428# would it be faster?

i used a 512mb stick on my 1gb laptop and i noticed a huge difference suprisingly, load times were much quicker and programs didnt lag

give http://www.passmark.com/products/pt_advcd.htm a try, that should work, i havent used it but doesnt look too hard

@ESA there are TONS of HD TV tuners...
@Gateway the tv tuners borat linked to are very good quality tuners and should work great for you
