I know they should be compatable, but I don't want to have to buy another processcer to flash the bios. Has anybody here used that mobo with a Pentium D?

yes, they are compatable, but why go for Foxconn? Get an ASUS P5WD2-E Premium. It uses the 975x chipset which is the best out right now. Or you can wait for the next revision to support Conroe and PDs.

how much of a difference would 975x chipset make over the 955x chipset?
