Hope someone can give me more insight & I can be as short as possible. Am redoing my sisters computer(Presario 7360) . Orginally, K6,
64mb ram,8mb onboard video,10 gig HD. HD took a dive so replaced with 60gig Maxtor($35. Wish I could've got one for myself!) Anyhow, after formatting, installed her Win ME. Everything was good except for graphics. No color; couldn't switch from 16 bit. Went to Compaq site; downloaded & installed the proper vid driver. After reboot, had no mouse or keyboard function. I will reformat & install OS but I think she would like a little color on her box. Also, put in 128mb ram to go with 64. Am getting memory error message on boot but 194mb mem. is showing on system resources & AIDA 32 I installed. Only counts to 64 @ boot & I get mem. error & 2 options- F1Boot or F10 Computer setup. Can I tell it to recognize 128 in bios & how do I get to same? Will try to talk her into building new box with HD & some parts I have here. But need to get it going till at least April or May.
