Default Compaq Presario 725US Notebook PC

Hey,

I was wrong with my 'other' thread about this laptop. It turns out, it was a 1600 model. Now, I have a question, will this laptop out preform my Gateway 1500 with Pent. 4 at 1400 mhz? Thanks for your inputs.

Specs for the laptop

Sorry, but since I finally got the real specs....how would you rate this laptop? (Back when it was made, or even in todays world)

It's ok, but I would totally go for an amd turion. The cpu is old and if you get it now you well regret it in a couple of months, seriously. THe hd is way too small and the bare minimum for ram nowadays is really 512mb... I would wait for a better labtop dude, I seriously would. That one just isn't worth it.

Well, I already have it....and it was free....could I possibly upgrade? Or will the socket version be different?
