Default comp is slow since i meddled with Raid1 drives

i unplugged one of the drives in my raid1 setup and when i booted the comp was running really slow, and even after i plugged it back in its been rather slow, and i mean like 1/3 - 1/4 the normal speed. when its booting i can see that it says something about the raid1 status is "rebuilding" so i guess that might have something to do with it, but after a couple more reboots it still says that its "rebuilding". Any idea about this guys? the only thing i've been taught about raid is what they do with data, and not much at all about any specific details. Thanks for any and all help!

Your computer will slow down, when the drives are rebuilding- it has to completely finish this process, which could take some time, depending on how large the driver are. You will have to let it finish first.
