Default cold cathode question

do cold cathode lights run off the power suply or just out of an outlet?

They usually come with an inverter module that steps up the 12V supply from a molex to the required voltage to run the lights and it's all contained in the computer case.

yeah cant run them without that little box. at least from a 4pin molex
