Default Clustering...???

ok, i was wondering about clustering computers together. I was wondering if there is any good linux distros to do it with, like there is ParallelKnoppix, ClusterKnoppix, dyne:bolic and some more but i was wondering which would be the best also i was wondering if i could cluster computers with pclinuxos. (I ask this because its a pretty good os and is easy to use) Also (sorry for the noob-ish question) how would i cluster them, like would i use the usb ports or would i use a network with like a router and connect a bunch of computers there???
P.S. I am an electronics high school student and i have many computers fully acessable, so im doing this to get some extra credit
