clearing a start up password

Alright heres the situation...I changed the fan on smeones computer and all of a sudden on start up the screen goes black and says ENTER CURRENT PASS...Theres never been a password on the BIOS/CMOS and there shouldn't be one now so is there a way to clear the memory? Or is it basically fried.

Yeah, there is a clear password jumper. Just switch that and your done.

Do you know wwhere exactly this jumper would be? Like a general location?

Usually it is 3 pins located very close to the battery.
