Default Choosing an LCD ??

Here's the dealio as I see it; if when playing your hard core games your video card can pump out x fps, then an LCD with a response time of 1000/x will NOT ghost and will match any CRT. I've noticed this on my old LCD with a response time of 30ms, it tended to provide interesting ghost images of baddies.

Hence, if you play Quake 4 at 125fps, then an 8ms LCD won't have ghosting problems. Or if you prefer to play at 300fps then you'll need a 3.3ms response time.

So, only consider really expensive LCD's with 4ms or so response time if you're playing games faster then 250fps. My radeon 9800 Pro OC'd works beautifully with my new 8ms LCD and I'm very happy with it.

Anyway, just my 0.02c
