Default Cheap Build Help

I am investing in getting a new rig. I want to be able to play all Half Life 2 games G-Mod, ETC ETC on High Graphics or really close to. Can someone help me find a really cheap build for it? I was looking in the price range of 300-400$ If you guys have a great build then post it.

NOTE: I already have a key board and mouse and monitor

i will try to help you when i am free.
do you already have a monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc?
$300-$400 is a really low budget, for me to have a good computer, i have to spend $300 on a Motherboard, CPU, and PSU, and then theres even more things to buy.
So you might not have a good computer to run those games on max settings, but maybe around medium.

i think he might need a graphics card better than the 8400GS.
that might limit him a little cant play much future games.
i had an X1950, and i couldnt really play g mod, but i think it was because it didnt support my card or something.

worshipme's build is pretty nice.
