Changing "Summary Page" of picture

When I download photos from my finepix 2600 digital camera the summary page information is wrong. Is there a way to update this so that years down the road when my grandkids are looking at them they will have correct information of time and date and so forth?

Is there a time and date setting on the camera itself? Maby in the menu?

There is but it keeps defaulting back to the wrong info.
