Default changing a hard drive from internal 2 external

How can I do this with out buying a housing thing for it?

Open the side of your case and lay the HDD outside


Buy a enclosure, put the hdd in the enclosure. It will change ide to firewire or usb

Hmmm...I never even knew that you could make a internal drive into a external. Intresting.
